Who We Are

The Hambden Explorer post is a group of young men and women who are interested in serving their community in the fire service.  Training with members of the Hambden Fire department, they learn what is required to become a career firefighter. Many of the department’s current members have come from the explorer post.

The Hambden explorers meet every Thursday  6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, at the Hambden Fire station.  The explorers do all types of training from, gear races to learning how to assist our department on emergency scenes.
